Blanca Diego, Solicitor in the Osbornes Personal Injury Department, recently settled a claim for a Spanish client who sustained injuries whilst walking to work. Our client was on a pedestrian crossing when a car, being driven on the wrong side of the road, suddenly crashed into her. The impact was completely unexpected. As a result, our client landed on the ground hitting the right hand side of her body and head.
Due to the above, our client sustained post concussional syndrome, a laceration of the scalp, soft tissue injuries affecting the right leg, right hip, right lower back, chest, abdomen and neck as well as psychological trauma.
Our client was unable to work for two months and returned to work on reduced hours. Physical errands remained difficult. She lost fitness and required assistance with heavy and physically demanding activities.
The case settled for £20,000.
