Cyclist Hit by Ferrari Claims £90k Compensation

Andrew Middlehurst, a lawyer in the specialist bicycle accident lawyer at Osbornes Law, recently settled a claim for a cyclist in the region of £90,000. The cyclist had been cycling ahead past the entrance to a golf course when a Ferrari sports car turned right across his path and knocked him off his bike. The cyclist was thrown to the ground and sustained significant soft tissue injuries and psychological injuries.

To better understand the long-term impact of the injuries sustained, we arranged for the cyclist to be examined by several medical experts to investigate the medium to long-term impacts of the injuries they had sustained.

Andrew calculated the full extent of the financial impact resulting from the injuries, including lost earnings as a result of having to change jobs and being unable to earn the same level of commission in the new job, the costs of private medical treatment, and care provided by relatives. Andrew brought a barrister on board to consult on the case and provide advice.

Successful Settlement

After court proceedings were issued, a settlement was reached soon after with the Ferrari driver’s insurers. This brought the matter to a satisfactory conclusion for our client.
