Read moreEmma Vincent Miller is a public law solicitor. She has experience of judicial review cases concerning welfare rights, migrant rights, and access to justice.
Prior to joining Osbornes Law in 2024 Emma worked as a solicitor at the charity Public Law Project.
She has expertise in strategic litigation and has acted in cases that have led to changes in the law and government policy. Emma acted in a judicial review case that led to the Ministry of Justice increasing the availability of legal aid in education tribunals. She represented the claimant in K v Secretary of State for Work and Pensions [2023] EWHC 233 (Admin), which established a new defence to the recovery of Universal Credit overpayments.
In 2023 she was shortlisted for the Public Law Solicitor award at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards.
Emma trained as a solicitor at the Government Legal Department following which she worked in the Cabinet Office Legal Team, advising on public and constitutional law.
Emma regularly delivers training about public law and welfare rights.
She is happy to assist with judicial review cases against central and local government, community care cases and welfare benefits issues.
