John Burrell

John is a consultant in our Family team and an extremely experienced family lawyer having been in Practice for more than 40 years.

John’s work encompasses the full range of financial issues from relationship formation to relationship breakdown and he is skilled at achieving the resolution of financial issues in a pragmatic and constructive way without the imposition of an imposed Court Order. He frequently works on matters which have multiple jurisdictional elements, and he is used to engaging with the additional features which such situations involve.

He has considerable experience in matters of Child Arrangements and the resolution of difficult and contentious contests over children’s welfare following a relationship breakdown.

John is a member of Resolution and is a trained Mediator and Collaborative lawyer bringing those skills to his approach to each situation which he deals with.

Outside of work John is a keen follower of cricket and is a long-time member of the M.C.C.
