Amir Faizi

Amir joined Osbornes Law in May 2023 and works as a paralegal in the Litigation Team.

Amir assists Administrative and Public Law solicitors with Judicial Review, Housing and Social Care matters particularly of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) challenging unlawful, unfair, abusive, and unreasonable acts and omissions of public bodies.

Amir has extensive experience working with vulnerable and at-risk clients through volunteering and other similar roles. In particular, Amir assists the team with matters related to:

• Age disputes for unaccompanied asylum-seeking putative minors.
• Unlawful detention of asylum-seeking minors/putative minors.
• Unsuitability of Home Office/NASS accommodation.
• Improper transfers to alternative Home Office/NASS accommodation.
• Lack of provision/delay of financial support from the Home Office.
• Age disputes for unaccompanied asylum-seeking putative minors.
• Unsuitability of Home Office/NASS accommodation.
• Improper transfers to alternative Home Office/NASS accommodation.
• Lack of provision/delay of financial support from the Home Office.
• Refusal to provide interim accommodation following the making of a homelessness application.
• Unsuitability of interim accommodation provided.
• Failure to provide suitable accommodation following a finding of unsuitability or further to the acceptance of a main housing duty.
• Challenge to priority afforded under housing allocation schemes.
• Amir read law at Brunel University London graduating in 2022.

Outside of work, Amir enjoys football, socialising with friends, and being outdoors.
