Naomi Angell, family law consultant at Osbornes and leading adoption lawyer specialist has been appointed as joint chair of the Family Law Committee of the Law Society. Naomi takes up this appointment alongside James Carroll, partner at Russell Cooke solicitors in September 2011. Both Naomi and James will hold the position for a period of 3 years.
The family law committee made up of solicitors specialising in all areas of family law identifies areas of family law needing review and reform.
Commenting on her recent appointment Naomi said:
It is a great privilege to be appointed joint chair of the Family Law Committee at this pivotal time in family law. The Family Justice Review and proposals on changes to legal aid will affect many families and children. It is crucial to ensure that they have proper access to justice and laws and procedures that help them through some of the most difficult times that they are likely to encounter in their lives”.
