Haringey Council has been named in a case involving parents of a 14 year-old boy with cerebral palsy and his brother who was twelve.

Simone McGrath, at London Solicitors Osbornes Law, represented the father in a case that has generated wide press coverage of Haringey’s failures to take appropriate measures regarding safeguarding the two boys whilst their mother started a relationship with a man released on license from prison for sexually abusing his ten year old daughter. The man was described as a ‘high risk to the sexual security of any child.’

Haringey Council failed to take appropriate measures to protect the two boys or to inform their father of the situation. The Judge ruled that the younger boy should live in the family home with his father and the older boy should be able to visit and stay.
